When I eased the tension of the rig, the whole boat creaked and stretched, preparing for the winter sleep.

It was another good season, that lasted from the 2nd of May to the 11th of October. Although we didn't go on any long voyages, and we spent a lot of time on the Volkerak, there were two high points: a long overdue trip to the Biesbosch, and a single-handed cruise on the Haringvliet in gorgeous weather.
Before we know it will be time for maintenance jobs to get ready for another season. Maybe back to the Adriatic...?
